SUMMER YOUTH WORK EXPERIENCE 2012

The Department of Labor has begun to accept Summer Youth Work Experience applications for the summer. The Department of Labor anticipates serving approximately four hundred twenty-five (425) customers territory-wide this year.

Applications are available on the department’s website at www.vidol.gov (under the forms tab) and can be picked up at any of the department’s locations. A Summer Employment Fact Sheet is also available online providing additional information for participants and parents. This summer, special priority will be placed on participants who have not previously received work experience.

Youths, under age of 18, should be accompanied by a parent/guardian to sign authorization for participation in the program. All applicants should be able to show proof of enrollment in college, high school, or basic education; proof of citizenship; social security card; Photo ID; and a copy of a resume if available.
