DOL TO HOST RECRUITMENT SESSION WITH TRADESMEN INTERNATIONAL
(May 07, 2012)
Labor Commissioner Albert Bryan Jr. announced on Friday that the department will host a recruitment and interview session for displaced HOVENSA employees from May 7th – 11th at 10 am. The sessions will be held at the Department of Labor’s St. Croix Sion Farm location.
All former HOVENSA employees and interested trade craftsmen of all skill levels are invited to attend. Tradesmen International has expressed a high level of interest regarding options for HOVENSA employees who would be attracted to employment opportunities in the US mainland.
“This is an opportunity for our residents to find temporary as well as permanent jobs. We are constantly looking for opportunities to connect our clients to work and this is just one part of our ongoing strategy in response to the HOVENSA event,” stated Bryan.
This effort is in collaboration with Senator Samuel Sanes. The department will be assisting in the creation of resumes. Participants should be prepared to fill out online applications and participate in on-site interviews.
