Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA) Improves the Lives of People with Disabilities 
Improves Services to Individuals with Disabilities
WIOA increases individuals with disabilities’ access to high-quality workforce services to prepare them for competitive integrated employment. It requires employer and business engagement and promotes physical and programmatic accessibility to employment and training services for individuals with disabilities.

System Updates and Accountability Improvements  
WIOA strengthens alignments across federal, state and local programs, to grant people with disabilities greater access to high quality workforce, education, and rehabilitation services.

Expanding Opportunities for Youth with Disabilities
WIOA guarantees that youth with disabilities will have access to a variety of pre-employment transition services to successfully obtain employment positions alongside people without disabilities with wages above minimum wage.
